Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the ARGUS browser extension, the arguslabs.tech website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ARGUS Labs regarding your use of the Service.
Description of Service
ARGUS is a browser-based cybersecurity investigation and vulnerability assessment tool designed for security professionals, SOC analysts, penetration testers, and researchers. The Service provides:
- Automated security scanning and vulnerability detection for web pages and domains
- AI-powered threat analysis and risk assessment
- Integration with third-party threat intelligence APIs
- Team collaboration features for security organizations
- Professional reporting and export capabilities
Acceptable Use
You agree to use ARGUS responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. Specifically, you must:
Critical: Only scan websites, domains, and systems that you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning may violate local, national, and international laws.
- Authorization Required — Only scan websites and domains you own or have explicit written authorization to test.
- No Unauthorized Testing — Do not use ARGUS to conduct unauthorized penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or security assessments against third-party systems.
- No Illegal Activities — Do not use the Service for any illegal activities, harassment, unauthorized access to systems, or any purpose that violates applicable law.
- Legal Compliance — Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), GDPR, and equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
Account Responsibilities
If you create an ARGUS account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, including API keys configured within the extension.
- All activities that occur under your account, whether or not you authorized them.
- Promptly reporting any unauthorized access to or use of your account to security@arguslabs.tech.
- Ensuring that your account information remains accurate and up to date.
Intellectual Property
ARGUS, including its source code, design, user interface, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by ARGUS Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or any part of the Service.
- Copy, redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Service or any component thereof.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or branding within the Service.
- Use the ARGUS name, logo, or branding without prior written consent from ARGUS Labs.
Vulnerability Scanning Disclaimer
Important: ARGUS is a tool to assist security professionals. It does not replace professional judgment, manual verification, or comprehensive security audits.
- ARGUS provides security assessments and findings for informational purposes. These findings do not constitute a guarantee of security or a complete audit.
- False positives and false negatives may occur. Automated scanning cannot detect every vulnerability or security issue.
- You should always verify findings manually before reporting to clients, stakeholders, or taking remediation actions.
- ARGUS is a tool to assist qualified security professionals, not a replacement for professional expertise, judgment, or comprehensive testing methodologies.
AI-Powered Features Disclaimer
ARGUS incorporates artificial intelligence capabilities for threat analysis, risk scoring, and security assessment. Regarding these features:
- AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or incomplete assessments.
- AI outputs are intended as supplementary information and should be verified by qualified security professionals before acting upon them.
- ARGUS Labs does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
- The AI models used are provided by third-party services and are subject to their respective terms and limitations.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
ARGUS Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Security incidents or data breaches resulting from reliance on ARGUS findings.
- Unauthorized access to systems arising from incomplete or inaccurate scan results.
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
- Damages resulting from third-party API service interruptions or inaccuracies.
- Legal consequences arising from your use of the tool in ways that violate applicable law.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ARGUS Labs, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Your scanning or testing of systems without proper authorization.
- Any claim by a third party related to your use of the Service.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a manner that could cause harm to ARGUS Labs or other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if applicable, deleting your account. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- Locally stored data remains on your device unless you manually remove it.
- You may request deletion of any account data stored on our servers.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Changes to Terms
ARGUS Labs reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Service after changes to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
For significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the extension or via email.
